Chat and provider keys

Free-chat prompts are sent to the configured AI provider. Your-key and Desk requests send your prompt and temporary API key through the GPTVOLUTION server to the provider you selected. The application does not intentionally write prompts, model replies, or provider API keys to its own storage.

Your chosen AI provider processes requests under its own terms and privacy notice. Normal hosting, CDN, and security logs may contain technical request data such as IP address, path, time, and browser information, but not application-level chat logging by GPTVOLUTION.

Local Desk history

Desk conversation names, messages, custom instructions, and model preferences are stored in your browser’s local storage. They are not synced to a GPTVOLUTION account. API keys and licence codes are excluded from that local conversation store. Clearing site data removes local history.

Free limits and anonymous product events

The free quota uses a salted one-way identifier derived from the visitor IP and UTC date. Anonymous product events contain only a timestamp, an allowlisted event name, and the selected mode. They do not accept prompts, replies, API keys, licence codes, email addresses, or raw IP addresses.

Anonymous event files are automatically removed after 30 days. Daily free-meter records naturally expire from use and contain no raw IP address.

Payments and licences

Card payments are processed by Stripe through keychain.gr. For delivery, recovery, refunds, and fraud prevention, private licence records contain the Stripe payment reference, payment email, amount, status, timestamps, and a one-way hash of the licence code. Plain licence codes and Desk session tokens are not stored.

Licence and payment records are retained while the licence is active and as needed for refunds, disputes, accounting, security, and legal obligations. A refund or dispute revokes active Desk sessions.

Service providers and your choices

Infrastructure may involve Cloudflare, the web host, Stripe, email delivery systems, and the AI provider you choose. You can use free chat without an account, use basic Your-key mode without buying Desk, export Desk conversations, clear local history, or request licence help.
